Awesome/creepy how ever you describe it, its an impressive accomplishment!

Oh it's crazy what they got out there going.

I had a stint in the unmanned vehicle arena and saw some crazy stuff.

There are these technology competitions where they send these flying 'bots into a building to search and "capture" a target, autonomously, no floor plan programmed in, just figure it out without any outside assistance. I've seen other competitions where the 'bots go in, find pieces of equipment and collect them,,,,,,it's nuts. Multiple flying 'bots to search and network on the fly so no space is covered twice. They can recognize when someone is walking down the hall, hide out, then continue when the coast is clear. Pretty awesome,,,,,,and makes ya wanna say hmmmmmmm, this is the stuff that is "public". Behind the scenes what the military already has, and is developing, really makes ya wanna say hmmmmmmm.   
 And we get worked up on red light cameras,,,,,,LoL     :o

Kinda reminds me of the "Replicators" from Stargate SG-1.  What happens when they start thinking for themselves and decide to attack??

That is some freaky stuff. How are they navigating? They must have some proximity sensing (sonic?) going on and how do they keep each others sensors from interfering with each other? The formation stuff like going through the door in some order just single event programming or are they collectively making decisions? Inquiring minds want to know.
