Title: New steed in the stable
Post by: bbroj on January 15, 2012, 06:32:52 PM
Just picked up the latest addition to the fleet. An '83 Nighthawk 550 for the son(21) and daughter (18) to learn on/ride afteer completing the MSF BRC in the Spring. She's definately not cherry, but nothing a little wrenching and scrubbing won't take care of. Should be a nice ride for years to come.

Being a father of kids that same age, I am willing to bet that they will both love it........after that backrest is removed.

Backrest was the first thing to go!! It was below 0 degrees when we picked up, so we have yet to hear it run. It popped a few times and tried to start, but the battery was struggling with the oil being that cold. I'm confident she runs, still had plates stc, just too cold when we picked it up. But even before hearing it run, the backrest is gone  ;D
