I was the lucky (and fast) one to take ZG up on his sale offer of the Philips Vision+100 X-treme H4 Bulbs and they showed up at my house this afternoon.
I got right to installing them and took a few pictures as I went. I also looked up the proper pointing per the Service Manual and did that at the same time as I had already felt that they were pointed a little low.
New bulb on the left, stock on the right:

Again, new on the left, old on the right (it's hard to tell, but the new bulb is a little brighter with a VERY slight blue tinge that could be from the tip of the bulb):

I didn't take it out for a ride, but am sure the new bulbs will work better than the old (plus pointing correctly).
For those who suspect incorrect pointing, take a look at page 2-42 of the service manual (at least in mine).

Looking good Scott, enjoy! 8)

On my first ride with friends with my new bike back in March, they noted that they could barely tell that my lights were on (in daytime). After checking it out when we got to our destination, I found that they were pointed as low as you can get them. Once properly set, they're pretty good.
You would have thought that would be something they'd set for you as part of that assembly charge they hit you with.
My stock Connie lights are soooo much brighter and have a better field of illumination than my buddy's GS Beemer, that he asked me to run my high beams at night to spot the deer along the road, AND HE WAS IN FRONT OF ME.

When I bought my new 09 on the 75 mile ride home from the dealer it was getting dark and my lights were pointing straight down also. Rode home on high beams so I could see the road. Adjusted them against my inside garage wall, they work great now.

Seems they all are like that, as mine were pointed way low as well. I took some time and readjusted them and turned the left one slightly towards the right shoulder to keep the cagers from constantly flashing me. I also tried the OSRAM 70/65 bulbs, and while they work really well, the length of time before the blew left something to be desired.

There's a left/right adjustment possible??

Maintenance Procedure
Headlight Beam Horizontal Adjustment •Turn the horizontal adjuster [A] in both headlights in or out
until the beam points straight ahead.
If the headlight beam points too low or high, adjust the
vertical beam.

You know what? I remember seeing that somewhere before, but forgot. Aging can be a terrible thing, but it beats the alternative.
