just wondering if the cover over the fork stem actually does anything or can it be removed and a fork stem mount be used for a gps mount? i am not to keen to try getting it off to have a look if it does an important function like keeping front end tight etc i figure one of you guy here would have pulled one down and may know? this is what i am looking at plus a waterproof case. item number 160463453326 on www.ebay.com.au (http://www.ebay.com.au) and if it can be removed what size would the internal measrement be so i can order the right size mount?
any help on this would be great thanks
