Just purchased a G2. They said it was backordered. No problem. It is too cold to ride in Upstate NY anyway. I'll probably install it in the Spring. I hope it is as good you guys said it is. Winter sucks.

I think that you'll like it.

Too cold here as well, single digits at night and in the early morn with snow and ice. In fact, I'm tucking Connie away for her long winter's nap this weekend. Changing the fluids, hooking the tender up, and covering her up in her special place in the garage.    :'(

I think they forgot to update the site, because I got the same message and it then shipped same day.

Got mine today, literally a 5 minute job.  Hope to try it out tomorrow.

Did you lube the throttle cable while you had it all apart?

Unfortunately no, did not have any on hand but with only two screws holding the assembly together it is a very simple job.  I actually thought about it half way through and decided I wanted to button it up instead of waiting.  What type do you recommend?  Here are some quick shots:

I bought this kit a while back from Dennis Kirk. It worked fine for me.

I want to do this but I will have to remove my grip heater from the OEM tube and attach it to the G2. Has anyone done this yet? I am worried about ruinking the heater element.

Do you have the stock grip heaters on the 10-12 bikes? Once my G2 comes in the mail, I let you know how the install goes, but there have been others that have done it without any reported issues.

I have the Dual Star self adhesive wrap around elements on my 08. I will have to get the grip off first without damaging the element, I think it is made of Mylar, then peel the element itself off.

Ah...not sure about those. If you can get the grip off with an air compressor, and then maybe use a heat gun to get the heater element off? Might work unless the Mylar has become brittle.

Follow the link above and then here as well.  http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=439.15 (http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=439.15)

Yes, folks have been able to get the heaters off and then reinstalled on the G2.

Like others have said, their website must be incorrect about availability.  I ordered yesterday it still said out of stock, but I just got an email notification that it already shipped today.

Well I must say that this farkle really makes a difference in throttle control.  I did not have too much trouble with smooth acceleration from a stop but more so on gear changes, especially with my wife on board.  This eliminated 80% of the jerky motion from on/off throttle response.  I had one on my ST1300 but do not remember it making this much of a difference, then again the ST1300 is not the beast of a bike that the C14 is.

+1... Ordered last Friday shipped within a couple hours of the order, showed up in yesterday's mail. Now I just need to get the motivation to start my winter mods.  :'(
