Title: C 14 2010 Battery tender quick disconnect plug

I just installed a battery tender plus quick disconnect plug to my 2010 C14.
If you have had the battery compartment open, you may have noticed that the ground from the battery is bolted to the frame.
I bolted the negative lead for the battery tender to the ground on the frame.
Does this sound o k to young guys? Any thoughts? Recommendations?

Post by: Motor Head on November 27, 2011, 07:10:58 AM: On my Street Bikes and Cars, I use the 12v power point/ Lighter socket. Make sure it is Hot at all times, of course fused, and put a Male end on the Battery charger. Then it just plugs right in nice and quick. I've been using those Harbor Freight Float Chargers. $5 when on sale, which they are at the moment.

Post by: rcannon409 on November 28, 2011, 06:05:16 AM: One advantage of bringing the lead directly off the battery is the plug matches the slime mini aircompressor. So, in an emergency you can glue all the plugs to your fingers....but you'll still have air available to inflate the tire.

If given the choice of knowing when you are going to croak, or where you are going to croak. always choose where. Then do your best to avoid the hell out of that place. Its also way better to get older than colder. and how did you get the battery cover off without chewing out the moist-ass cheese cover bolts like I did. I could not believe I was sitting there drilling out a bolt on a 2 week old bike with 400 miles on it. I remember saying to myself...WTF.
