Hi,  I'm looking for some Racetech Cartridge Emulators for a 1999 C10 for a winter project.

Thanks,

joe - when you get them, my best setup is 4 holes in the blow-off plate, blue springs w/ 2 turns preload. I also run stock springs with about 5" cut from the tightly wound end. sweet! steve

Thanks Steve,
I've got 4" cut off my stock springs now, weigh 180 lbs and do almost all of my riding alone.

Do you think I should cut the additional inch off or will I be ok with just 4" cut off?  Joe

Okay, maybe the wrong place but........what did you use to make up the difference in the spring length once you cut it? which end did you cut?

Here is a quote from somewhere I saved and is what I (and others) have done:

The stock fork oil is called 10W-20 in the service manual.  The biggest bang for the buck is the change the oil to 15w fork oil and to cut 4-6" of the closest spring coils off of the OEM springs and substitute the coorect length of 3/4" SD-40 PVC pipe to get the spring length back to specs (see attached image). Grind the end of the cut spring flat and protect each end of the PVC with a steel washer (slightly less than 1.25” OD).  Make all cuts square.  Adjust the length of PVC and the adjuster to get 1-3/8" static sag (droop, fork compression) with you on the bike.
