I was searching through some old pics and came across some "day 1" pics of when I brought my Connie home brand new from the dealer 9/23/10 (note the oem tire stripe). She looks a little different today a year later with some farkles added, but looking at this pic I can still smell that "new smell", if you bought yours new you know what smell I'm talking about! :) :P
Yes, I did have a Muzzys slip-on and fender eliminator kit put on at the dealer before riding off the lot... ;)

It was raining and about 40 degrees that day. The dealership is about 50 miles away. That was a long ride on new tires in the wet. The bike had half again the power of anything else I had ever owned and even though it had traction control I remember being VERY light on the throttle.

There isn't anything like the smell of a new bike's exhaust system burning in ;)

I love that blue! I've always been a fan of a blue bike. My C50 was blue and black, my Vulcan 1600 was the same blue and black but reversed, now my Connie is all black. I might have to paint some of it blue lol!
-
The day I picked it up from the dealer, 50 miles from home. Misting rain almost all the way home, then viola ;D the sun came out for me to take a picture. Notice the dirt on the rear drive, I think it is still on there ??? at 27,000 miles

;)I've been fortunate to have had 2 connies. Didn't think I had "bonded" with the second one but after 9 years I realized I had and thats the one I rode home in the rain.
-
Me and my bike from day one. She was so nice and shinny. 8500 hard miles later not so much. But I love her.

Here was my first Connie I purchased in DEC of '07

Then my second very soon after delivery:
I mounted the GPS into the steering stem and took off the PCV since it wasn't calibrated right.
Now I've got a bit more additions on it!

here's mine at the beginning of a week long trip to Utah and Colorado, started out on my 78 goldwing and after losing a head gasket thought the trip was over. While at the dealer looking for parts for a 31 year old bike (of course they didn't have any) I saw a 09 non abs Concours. Two hours and a much of money later the trip was back on!
