Title: Baldwin Motorbike Saddles
Post by: kawacop1642 on October 18, 2011, 11:04:23 AM
Well I broke down and sprung for a custom seat. After a 850 mile trip on the stock seat I new it was time to change up. I did some searching around and decided on the Balwin C14 altra tour seat. Ordered the new one last night and sent mine off this morning. All the reviews I read were positive about the seats comfort, quality and the excellent service from Loren. I also liked the look of the seat over some other brands. I'll send some pics when I get it back and give a quick review after a few hundred miles.

His customer service is absolutely second to none, and both my fiance and I LOVE the saddle.  We went with a dual-setting heating element front and rear, and it significantly increases both the time I can stay in the saddle between stops, and the temperature range which is comfortable to ride in with the high/low heat options.  Pricey, but not more so than the equivalent Corbin, and I think his customer service is better.

I broke down and bought one too. My wife really wanted the Russell because she said it looked the best for her bottom.  I just couldn't imagine that saddle on my bike. I have not seen the finished product but it should be here in the next couple of weeks.

I ordered one of the new GT seats too. Can't wait to get it. Hate the stock seat!

ordered one this last spring and rode it for 10k. Customer service is incredible. Wife saw immediate improvement and never complained again about inconfort.

i saw a 100% improvement but manage to get the numb butt after 4-5 hours instead of 2-3 hours before. Not the seat but i think i just dont have enough fat on the rear ;D

Loren is the way to go

as long as she s on the back seat.

If you have a seat made for her and ride without, better be ready for some s... hitting the fan when you get home  :'(

I actually have a Corbin, not a Baldwin... When mama rides with me she get's the heated option and backrest, but when she's not riding with me I have the smuggler on, best of both worlds IMO. No threadjack intended...  :chugbeer:
