My new 2011's front brakes are squealing at low speed when stopping. Only have 140 miles on bike. How to stop squeal? Will it just eventually stop?
-
What do you mean by "superintendent"? The brake squeal usually gets worse unless you do something. Both my OEM sets squealed a lot. Cleaning the rotors will help temporarily. My EBC HHs also squealed when brand new so I tried CarCraft Disc Brake quiet and the squeal has stopped permanently (or at least for 10,000 plus miles so far)

Sorry about that, my phone sometimes trys to guess what I'm saying and I guess I didn't look at it before I posted it. Yes front brakes are squealing and they are brand new.

Where do you put that stuff? Is it a liquid, paste?
-
It is a paste or thick liquid. You smear a thin film on the back of the pad and let it dry/harden, athough it says the pads can be installed while it is still tacky. It dries to a tough rubbery film similar to silicone RTV but tougher.

Cool, thanks!

mine squealed too when I first got it. after taking the calipers off I discovered that the pads were not seated or lose feeling. at this point I maybe had 200 miles on the bike with no heavy braking. I put them back on and ran some power braking drills in a parking lot to seat them and no more squeal.

I will try that!
