Title: Topcase lights
Post by: harryzgnilek on September 30, 2011, 09:17:44 AM
Hi all

I just installed a Givi E55. I am debating if I should install a lighting kit.
Does everyone have a lighting kit installed?
Admore or Givi.

thanks

Admore is the way to go, it includes the amber blinkers as well.  :-)

I did my own LED lights on my E52.  I am very happy with the results.  It is plenty bright for daytime use.  My only complaint is the turn signal function isn't the greatest since the lights don't cycle all the way off during the flash.  They just dim and light back up.  Oh well, I saved $50 or so compared to the Admore kit.

This pic is with the tail and brake lights on (brake lights are the bright middle row).

I researched this pretty thoroughly  before I bought mine and the strong consensus then was the ad more over the Givi. I  bought the Ad More and have been pleased with the decision.

Is it plug and play or cut and connect?  My trunk hasn't come in yet so I don't have anything to look at...

thanks again ZG

I just had my local shop do mine, but yes they said it was very straight forward with the install directions from Admore...

+1 on the admore.

The instructions tell you to drill the hole off to the side for the connector, which I didn't think would look good. Instead I drilled it dead center and down low on the back. Its out of sight and no chance of anything hooking it.

Sorry I went there and it seemed to be a "give me info and we'll give ya a price kinda thing", but I may have gotten in a huff over that then didn't look harder ::)
