I got the dual pack from Revzilla a few days ago...easy to mount to the helmets, sync to Iphone and use in general....it is a great addition....now my wife doesn't have to hit me on the shoulder for turn signals :)

I have had mine for a few months now and love the addition. Plus being able to take or make a phone call while on the bike without anyone realizing you are on the bike is nice. I did have to redo the firmware which was a pain since they didn't sync up correctly according to the instructions, but after getting further instruction from the help-desk people, it worked like a charm.

I have found that we need to remove the Sena's from the base-plate because the terminals are not getting a good contact all the time. I am sure it just needs to be removed, clean the terminals a little and re-clip it in place.

I love my Sena as well,purchased the dual pack earlier this year right when they were releasing the 2 version which I was suppose to get but ended up with version1. So I just sent it in last week (paid for it in Aug) to be swaped out with ver 2. Good thing to because one unit kept on trying to connect to the other as though you tapped the big button when you did not. Just did that intermittantly... Anyways can't wait to get ver 2 so I can start enjoying them again... I can't decide if I like the speakers or the headphones better... I love the conveinence of no wires with the speakers but I do believe the headphones offer better outside noise rejection if you know what I mean.

I wear earplugs (custom molded Westone: https://www.westone.com/hearing-protection-products/4rt (https://www.westone.com/hearing-protection-products/4rt)) when I ride. They don't block out as much as the foam earplugs which I always have issues getting to seal properly anyway. I can still hear cars around me, the bike and sirens as well as make/take calls as I am riding and hear the music.

With all the positive feedback lately regarding these Sena units, and for the 2 lids I own, I would be interested to know if anyone out there has tried these in either a Shoei X11 or Scorpion EX0 700 with good results? Anyone??

I wear earplugs (custom molded Westone: https://www.westone.com/hearing-protection-products/4rt (https://www.westone.com/hearing-protection-products/4rt)) when I ride. They don't block out as much as the foam earplugs which I always have issues getting to seal properly anyway. I can still hear cars around me, the bike and sirens as well as make/take calls as I am riding and hear the music.
I have the mold material to make the impressions for these but never got around to actually doing it. I was ordering these and custom tips for my earphones. Do these do a good job with the wind noise? I know they are supposed to block wind noise well and yet allow other ambient noises to pass. Do you feel they do a good job of protecting your ears?

Definitely! I highly recommend them for anyone who rides long distances or regularly as it really cuts down on the ear fatigue and long term hearing loss. Yesterday I did a ride with my wife and friends and decided not to use the earplugs since my wife doesn't have any and I felt it at the end of the day. Combine having the music all day long and also having the wind noise (it was really windy out so we had more wind noise than normal) after getting home, I was happy to not have all the noise going on anymore. I went to a local hearing aid company and he did the mold for me and ordered the plugs through him. I opted to get the higher end silicone instead of the vinyl as don't think I am going to stop riding anytime soon and the way the hearing guy explained it, the silicone will last longer than the vinyl.

Thanks. I was wondering about that specific model of ear plug since it is hollow. It was explained to me that the hollow design is what allows it to cancel out wind noise and not other ambient sounds. I was just curious as to how effective they were. I always wear hearing protection on the motorcycle and thought a custom pair would feel much better for the long days.

I decided to do it since I have always had issues getting the cheap foam ones to seal in my ear canal and the fact that these take the edge off the noise, but still allow you to hear things around you is a good thing.
