When is is acceptable to stop on US129 in the middle of the road and snap a picture...
Good safety gear... Jeans would make those legs much cooler.

MikeRideWNC: The guy with the crutches was there the same day I was, I really wanted to talk to him to get some advice for a couple buddies of mine that used to ride before they lost a leg. JimmyMac has ridden with him and said he has some serious skill.

Here is how I ride the Dragon...

This is what would make me ride the Dragon during Pirate season:
This trucker was very thankful when I got him to the other side.

Being that we were both riding Concours, I chatted with this fellow at the Shell station in Robbinsville on this Monday. Despite his challenge (crutches), he was able to fill-up and pay (inside) in less time than I could. He told me that he was from the Chicago area and had 'just retired'. I got the feeling he was a returning veteran.

His name is Tony and he is from the Chicago area. We met him at the WRRR rally back on the 9th. Great guy. Kept seeing him all weekend at the Iron Horse. He said he did not like the brakes on the 2011 C-14. He certainly isn't slowed down by his disability. He can flat motor through the curves!
