A dream race becomes reality..

That was pretty cool. I called the last place car, my son called the first place.
-
That is awesome. With a midpack trapspeed the GTR shows just how important AWD can be.
-
I would have put the GT-R in the top 4, but not in first. :o
-
The ZO6 got a bad launch for sure. and it was a ZO6 and not a ZR1. GTRs are cool and all but nothing will replace my love for Corvettes.
-
What a sweet sound they all make!
-
I liked that!
Thanks for posting
-
Awesome just Awesome. I knew there was a reason I'd stuck with Nissans since the 70's. 8)

Agree! Definitely should have been a ZR1 and a better launch.

I think the C-10 could of beat the Lotus. Doesn't she reel in high11's in the quarter?
Great vid, thanks...
-
Not sure about the c10. I know the GTR1400 would have tied the GTR though. lol
-
The Nissan surprised me as well, but with the crappy starts that better than half the field had, I think that 2 more runs would have given a more honest top honors position. Good chance that the top runners would have still been the same, but the field would have definitely tightened up the times.

On a related note...
The top 5 fastest production cars from 0 to 60.

I'm sure that some of you can guess what #1 is. Here's a hint,
This car easily captures the title as the quickest production car to hit 60 mph. But that's not all, as the French exotic also secures the honor as the fastest and most expensive street-legal production car. Mid-mounted in the chassis is a massive 8.0-liter W16 engine with quad turbochargers — yes, four of them! Thanks to some very special tuning, the powerplant is rated at a whopping 1,184 horsepower and 1,100 pound-feet of torque. Permanent all-wheel drive and a seven-speed direct-shift gearbox admirably put the power to the ground. The top speed of this $2.5 million supercar is about 270 mph, but the tires will blow out long before that.
0 to 60 in 2.4 seconds. :o

Without looking at the post I'm guessing Bugati Vyron (spelling?).
-
Great article Conrad! Bang for the buck that Nissan just smokes them all.
-
So the new GTR is the old Corvette? lol That's kind of funny.
And time for the "Yeah BUT..." post. With all that Acceleration it's still behind the C6 ZO6 around the Nuburgring. You know the old straight line- Curvy Road argument. Speaking of which, did anybody see the Viper ACR post a time of 7:12 a couple days ago? No video links yet but if it's true that would put it ahead of the LFA and the ZR1 for the fastest Production car. Although I wouldn't say the Viper ACR and Nissan GTR have much in common. lol
Too Bad Chrysler never went through with the ME4-12. That would have been an awesome car!
-
good thing they didn't go up against a turbo interceptor :D
-
I think the entire race is flawed without a Lambo in the lineup. Kewl vid & concept though. 8)
The GT-R is by far the most impressive car under $100,000. The 2012s are supposed to be coming to the US & I may just have to rob someone. :)
