went to get on bike and there is a plate sized puddle of coolant. its coming from hose behind exhaust manifold on clutch side. looks like 1.5 in. diameter hose about 4 in. long. is that an oem part or can i just use some heater core hose? looks like its gonna be a bear to get to.

Just a thought Silver Connie, if this hose is deteriorated and leaking, maybe a good idea to just replace the whole set. The only picture I have handy shows two hoses (pic 2) in this area, both are exposed to alot of radiant heat from the exhaust, as is the one down below (Pic 5) that runs horizontal (parallel) with the exh. pipes just ahead of the water pump.
Not too difficult once the body work is out of the way.
Good luck to ye.

It is 1" exactly I.D.
Any old hose the right diameter will do.

Murphs' has a complete hose kit of the proper hoses with all the slight bends and the exact diameter, reasonably priced. A breakdown cuz of a blown hose is quite inconvenient, to say the least, replace 'em all.
Figure on retightening the clamps after a bit, so set your clamps accordingly.

Replacing all the hoses isn't too bad of job. It was easier than I expected when I did it. Had to retighten them after a few days. Pay attention to the white lines/arrows on old and new (if using OEM, which is what I'd do for an exact fit).
