Title: 2001 C10 for sale- SOLD!
Post by: tbunder on September 05, 2011, 04:30:58 PM
I have been kicking around the idea of selling for a bit to get something a bit newer so I have decided to put my C10 up for sale. It is exceptionally clean and basically stock. Here is a link to the craigslist ad:

A clean unmolested 2001 is hard to find these days. The bike is located in Des Moines, Iowa. I might add that the KMW decals and the reflective 'Concours' decals have been removed.
It's got 28K miles. thanks

$3500 is where I started too. No interest. Lowered to $3000, still no interest. Good luck. Maybe we could find someone who needs a pair of Concours and make a sweet deal. Haha.

oh what the heck- $2900 for this forum only. that's below nada and kbb. I'll throw in the givi trunk that fits on the bike too. that is a firm price so if you offer me less you will be wasting both of us' time.  :)

Were you at the Peoria TT races in August?  I saw a '01 Connie there with the KMW stickers and the windshield treated the way yours is.  If that is the one, it is a nice bike.  What did you do to get that effect on the windshield?

yep that was my bike. the po dabbled in signmaking or something to that effect and thus he put that black on the bottom of the shield. It is just a black decal but it looks like it was professionally cut and applied. I saw your bike as well, it's the first bike I noticed riding in as the black rims caught my eye. I just listed my bike on ebay lastnight.

Cool.  The TTs were fun (it's my first year as a PMC member), but of course my squeaky clean bike was absolutely covered in dust at the end of the day.  Yours is a very nice Connie.  Good luck with the sale.  What do you have your eye on to replace it?

I've been going to Peoria since I was a young boy, love them. On the way home, I rode my friend's C14 and was immediately spoiled. But after some research that hasn't included any actual physical actions yet, just reading and pics- I kind of am in love with the 2003 FJR1300. It's supposed to be for shorter guys and I'm around 5'8". It's also not as in your face as the C14 re: styling imo. I like the 2003 because of the black rims and the light silver color. The '04 had improvements in suspension and braking but the way I ride and my smaller size, those things are moot. I'll probably get an FJR regardless if the C10 sells or not. Something about the look of older Kawasakis draws me to just stare at it sometimes. The first gen. seat and color helps too.

Any chance you could post a pic of what the windshield "effect" is?

lol, after reconsidering I decided to relist my bike. I just feel that the money would be wiser spent other places atm; dentist told me my oldest daughter may need braces for example.  ::)
