Where would be a good spot to hide an ignition key on the bike, you know, just in case?
-
Oh I forgot, while on this subject. Do most places where you get a key cut have motorcycle keys or is this a dealer item? Thanks

I keep a key for my bike and my truck taped between two business cards in my wallet and my wallet in my pocket. Saved me from a wet butt a couple of times. I tried the locksmith route and wound up back at the dealer for $4. Money well spent. I had the spare created when I dropped the key down between the tank and the frame head with cold fingers at a gas station when I tried to reinsert the key in the ignition after refueling. Stoopid Noob mistake... (but repeatable I'm afraid). Fortunately I was close to home and my wife could bring the OTHER spare.

Duct tape it to the inside of one of your sidecoves.
-
I zip tied it to the frame along with a bag key.
One zip thru the hole and one around the cut part of the keys.

I got a couple cut at a locksmith.

I have mine stuck in my helmet under the styro with a spot of RTV.

Ditto.

I just taped one under the little plastic cover that surrounds the ignition switch this afternoon!
