Seriously, I'm content in my life. I don't need or ask for much. I like my C14. As soon as I bought it I got the CalSci +4 inch windscreen and am happy with it. I also bought the Sargent seat, then the Throttlemeister because I had both a Sargent and a Throttlemeister on my old bike, and RC51. Okay, all is good. Of course then I had to get bar risers from Murph just to try them out. I don't have them installed right now because I didn't think they really worked for me. They made me feel as if I had to hold my arms up. I keep them around though and once in a while I put them on for a change. When I feel I like I want to sit more upright I install them. They are nice and do the job they are intended to do.
Of course then someone was talking about the Baker Hand Wings and I thought, "Winter is coming so I should get them." I did and rode all Winter here in Pittsburgh.
Oh, then the group buy came for the sliders, GTR I believe. I bought the entire set.
Muph decided to make Phil's wedges so I caved and bought them. Oh wait, what's this? Oh yeah, the bearinged up shifter sounds good. I'll take that too. Shweeet! Thanks Murph for the extra set of bolts so I could run the wedges with or without the risers.
Of course the other day someone had to post a pic of their new Projekt D helmet locks. Okay, they are ordered and on their way.
The latest windshield thread has kept me occupied lately. I love my CalSci. It is perfect for me. I don't really want a huge windshield, that is why I bought one of CalSci's smaller ones. When I had my old '86 Aspencade I put a small Rifle Windshield system on it. How come all of a sudden I feel the urge to buy and Ultra Tour? Sigh. I won't but something different would be fun for a while. Wouldn't it?

I think you have a farkle addiction man... You need to learn restraint like me. ;)
-
Yep your farked for sure...LOL
-
But not as much as you are going to like it after you finish farkling it.... ;D
It is funny though that years ago we just bought motorcycles and rode them. A new exhaust was usually the limit of any modifications. Now it seems that the purchase of the bike is incidental and only to provide a place to hang all the other 'stuff' onto. Of course it makes for a much more comfortable and able bike IMO but you are right in that it seems to be endless.

No no Brian, I have all I need. ::) No really, Throttlemeister, CalSci windshield, GTR sliders, Sargent seat, bearinged up shifter, risers, Phil's wedges, Pro Grips, soon the helmet locks from ProjektD, a nice little tank bag and a tail pack that fits beautifully on the rack.
Rack... hmmm... I really should replace the rack... and a backrest... oh wait, if I get a top box I won't need the backrest...

Brian
"Finish?" What on earth are you talking about? Do you mean like in "done" or "complete"? Surely that is not something that is likley to happen! Perhaps you mean in the more Draconian sense of "six feet under" or "pushing up daisies"?
Surely "finish farkling" is oxymoronic!

Over-farkeled for sure!
-
you are seriously farked,,,, ;D

I guess we just figured you already had the 200 watt jet kit for your CalSci...really makes a difference...especially in the cool night air...be sure to put that on your list...can't believe you don't have one...

Brian, are you talking about the days before all the internet forums where people kept talking about what they have done and before all the vendors actually started making stuff that we wanted for our bikes?
My first bike was a ZX-6D that I got back in 1996 and I think the only thing I did for it was replace the windscreen and move the turn signals since I chopped the mudflap.

It is a good thing you didn't see the old thread about the LSL superbars :P

And his exhaust, complete with PCV and Auto tune. I'd recomend the AreaP Full system from Jamie at Fuel Moto. He understands the addiction better then some so his prices are very resonable and the service is top shelf. To compliment the new exhaust I'd also consider the ZX14 TB upgrade, nothing like adding another 16MM to the intake side ;D I also didnt see where you added any nav aides, I suggets the Zumo 550 complete with an external antenna to compliment some tunes on the ride, which of course means something to channel the sound to your ears. 8)
If your looking for the candy man he's at www.murphskits.com (http://www.murphskits.com) !!

We were younger then, and comfort wasn't a priority... ;)

True, ships used to be made of wood and the men who sailed them were made of iron. It is the other way now. I like the way it is now 'cause I am not tough enough to ride those '70s bikes anymore.

Actually I had not thought of that when I posted but I know what you mean and suspect the very best men were probably made of.... here it comes..... Amboyna Burl from Southeast Asia.
