I recently purchased the Sargent World Seat for my Connie but it didn't work for me. I used it for about 500 miles it is in mint condition. Paid 470 + shipping for the seat. I am asking 400 + shipping for it (O.B.O). PM me or email me at dixonk at hotmail dot com.

why did it not work. give reasons so buyers will know, was it too hard, too confining, what?
-
Sorry...it didn't make my ride anymore comfortable which has more to do with my size than anything. I prefer a softer seat than a firmer one.
-
well Dix, i prefer a firmer seat, it just keeps your butt from sinking in. i bet the stock seat gave more pain.
what are your dimensions?
-
My dimensions are large ;D On the stock seat I can go 100 miles before getting hot spots and on the Sargent they were kicking in around 50 miles for me. The bar risers helped a bunch for me as well as it eliminated the forward sloping effect the stock seat has.

any chance of posting a picture of it here?
my personal experience is I could never judge the outcome of a seat without at least 1000 miles in it, My Corbin's all took that long, and any miles less, i still wasn't sure, but after thousands of miles in them, I'm glad i toughed it out, and didn't sell them off. I find the stock seat fine after 30k miles, and no complaints from mrs. Mob either
Just curious also about your seat picture.

I can get a picture up real soon. I didn't bother because it was literally only used for a week. I haven't even attempted to contact Sargent about returning it I just wanted to pass on some savings to a forum member. I understand that seats can take up to 1000 miles to break in but my problem is that it started hurting after only 50 miles. I am debating throwing it back on for another go at it.
