Warning message on front dash says battery sensor low for rear TPS. I am about to change to Michelin Pilot Road 3 so this would be a great time to change battery.
Does anyone know if this is some type of "off the shelf" battery or something I need to order from dealer $$$...

Unless you are comfortable taking apart the TPS and soldering a new battery in then you might be better off if buying a new sensor. There was a "how to" on the other forum and I can't find the thread that showed the process. I think that Murph is also doing a TPS exchange where you send in your dead one and he sends you another back. It might also be that he puts in a new battery and sends you your orignal one back. Not sure, once again this was all on the old forum and I haven't had good luck searching through the pre-crash threads.

If the bike is still under warranty, you might see if the dealer will take care of the sensor replacement.

And if they do, have them mount the new tire for free while they're at it. You can offer to pay them to balance it as incentive.

Its definitely warranty item if you are still under warranty. This is a great time for them to mount your new tire. Make sure you ask nicely.
