Hi I have a 2012 gtr1400cbf with the mountain runner flash.
When I switch off the ignition the indicators flash once then the screen goes down then it switches off. OK.
BUT…..
Sometimes when I switch off the indicators flash NINE times before the screen goes down.
Is this a known problem?
A Kawasaki error code?
The bike seems to run and ride perfectly.
I can live with it but I would rather it didn’t happen.
Any help gratefully received.
Cheers.

I have never read/heard of that before. You say "indicators" but don't define that. Turn signals? Dashboard indicators only? Computer display or other lights?
I do know of a problem with some aftermarket turn signal bulb configurations that will cause the relay to freak out if the ignition is turned off while the turn signal or hazards are on and it causes everything to cycle light a christmas tree (dash indicators, turn signals, etc). But this doesn't sound like that issue.

It's warning you that "They" are listening. :o :rotflmao:
Seriously though, it can be caused if you have left the indicators (turn-signals) or hazard lights switched on.
It's indicative of something preventing/interrupting the normal shutdown procedure.
Eventually it reaches a "timeout" and just shuts down anyway.
It's one of the joys of computerised machinery.

Oh, they're listening all right...

It was turn signals I was talking about.
Now that you mention it……
I’ll pay more attention to the turn signal switch before I switch off from now on.
Thanks Maxtog and Boomer.

If you are into the trendy pronoun corruption stuff, any person can now be a "they."

A friend of mine just calls everyone "matey" regardless of colour, creed, race, sexuality, identification or whatever.
He distinguishes people from others with a qualifier such as "matey with the hat" or "matey with the big nose".
He is that unflappable that he would greet an alien with "Hello matey with the green skin and tentacles" :rotflmao:

Does not their They also indicate a plurality of themselves?
