So I was pulling out of my driveway this morning, about to begin my normal 40 mile morning commute. Before I got to the end of the street, the low tire pressure sensor goes nuts, telling me the rear tire is at 23 lbs.
Hmm, wasn't cold this weekend, maybe it's a real warning. I get off the bike but the tire looks normal and felt normal for the little bit down the street. Turn around, put it back in the garage.
Up on the center stand, check the pressure manually. Sure enough, 23 lbs. Had to spin the tire 3 times before I found the hole.
uhg. gear off, get the car keys, late to work. Better than having a blowout on the way in though!

That sucks but is great at the same time Tim, glad you were near home.

[snip] 3 times before I found the hole.
You should have gotten an elbow to the ribs for that! ;)

Had a similar situation about 3 weeks ago. No hole in the tire though. Stupid new "novelty" valve caps were slowly deflating the tires. They went in the junk, I aired it up and got to work on time (damnit!)

Had it save me and wife. (on Freeway two up with a screw in the rear PR2)
I am so happy the C14 has the TPS, never thought I would ever need it, but so glad it was there.

I've had it save me more than once with sneaky nails in my rear tire. I'm a big fan of the TPS.
