You know, as long as I have been riding I only know directly of one person who had an accident. He was run into the rear while sitting at a light. Either this person is lying about the people they are talking about or they are hanging around the wrong people. Oh wait, I forgot that I got in an accident when I was drinking. Totally my fault, I am just lucky I didn't get hurt really at all.

On the same page they're promoting Beerfest. So if this idiot, who doesn't ride, gets drunk at beerfest and wrecks his car will he call for a ban on cars?.....or beer?

We should just ban all of the cars, then motorcycle riders won't have to crash into (or try and avoid all of) the idiots driving their oversize radios/air conditioning units...  That would solve the problem.

Motorcycle will never be banned as long as somebody powerful is making a profit on them.  Right now, the insurance companies must be making a ton of dough for two reasons: 1) They're not trying to use Congress to ban them. and 2) My insurances rates aren't really high at all.

Well, I don't think that this guy will sway any lawmakers with half a brain...  (Oh wait.)

Also he only quotes the NO4 number in the pollutants.  Water vapor is a bigger greenhouse gas than NO4 and not to mention a motorcycle produces half the CO2 of a sedan.  Come on man!

I can't stand articles like that.  That dude has his agenda and he is welcome to it.

I think he took it to an extreme.  I mean...  To BAN a motorcycle?  Okay...  That makes sense.

People take their doors off their Jeeps and may not be wearing seat belts.  When they get it a crash, they'll be ejected and die.  Wanna ban those too?

How many folks get hurt or die riding horses? More than bikes. How many people are hurt or die from knife wounds, more than guns and more than bikes. I don't see any big move to ban horses or knives.

Exactly...  Here's my favorite quote...

If you are truly interested in public safety, one would think you would be more focused on the leading cause of death in this country: Obesity. Now Hugh, I've seen your photo, and lets face it, you're a fatty pants.

"I’m not a motorcyclist. What, then, gives me the right to call for the end of what many millions of Americans love to do?"

Absolutely nothing... Nobody has the right to force their opinion onto someone else... that includes the pro-helmet folks too, BTW...

Get enough votes and you can ban anything you want whether you have a right to do it or not.
