My used bike came with amount that the Garmin Zumo 660/665 mounts to. Anyone know if there are cheaper units that fit the same plug? It would be nice not to have to rewire. Thanks

How much cheaper do you want to get? A brand new 660 with lifetime maps can be found on Ebay for $330 (includes all the mounts for a motorcycle or car). I just got mine a few days ago.

In the link below Garmin shows which are compatible, but none look cheaper to me than a used zūmo 660/665 off of eBay.

Well, then either look for a car version out there (but not waterproof or resistant is a problem) or check Craigslist often.
You will find some on Ebay sometimes, but the good ones (and probably the ones that fit that mount), will go for a decent price.
If you are patient, it will happen.

Thanks. To be honest I had not thought about the waterproof part. May have to just splurge.

And the vibration protection on Zumo units, others don't fair as well in the duration category, but surely
there's several folks who will disagree. Splurge, it's a fricken' farkle!

And waterproof, and brighter screen (supposedly, but questionable in practice), and non-capacitive touchscreen, and non-glare finish, and dedicated physical buttons, and bike-specific icons, and anti-theft screwset, etc.

My 660 doesn't have any physical buttons and there is no anti-theft screws. But it's small enough to put in my pocket if I am somewhere and don't feel safe leavnig it, or I can put it in the trunk and lock that, since it's always on the bike.

SV, do you use the MP3 feature? If so is it easy to change volume on the fly?
