Title: Airbox compressor (revised)
Post by: syntor on June 23, 2011, 07:49:42 PM
Back on the old forum I put up a pic of the MkI prototype airbox compressor (made of old fencing wire and scrap metal).

The revised MkII airbox compressor looks like this, and it takes about 75% of the aggravation out of pulling the carbs. Cost about $12 all up.  :)

Looks like you could put enough pressure on it to do some cracking if yer not careful.

Isn't the airbox a rigid plastic?  What part compresses using this?

I would have the carbs off and back on by the time I rigged that up. Glad it works for you.

Godd idea on pulling back a little. Could even using a ratcheting strap
I would leave that on the bike... just in case someone gives you any crap. Hit em upsye the head wid it
