So, after 49000 miles it's time for new rotors. The old were great, only issue I ever had was with the stock pads. When I met Brian (BDF) he made a comment in regards my rotors, it made me pay closer attention to them, last evening on the way home I lost confidence in them and decided to get a set. I'll report how they feel once the bedding is complete. Also a new set of EBC HH pads to complete the deal.

What was the comment and why did you lose confidence in the stockers?
-
Brian said "Those are getting close" and asked if they were my first set-coming from a guy who just completed a C C in 47hrs52 minutes, stunk worse then the seagulls, and just a little road weary, I paid attention! At speads under 20 and light pressure I could hear the brakes and had an almost rough drag feel, pads only have abou 1500 miles on them and the rotors are quite worn, I havent measured them, but there is a fair amount of material gone. I'll post up pics once I have them off, I may even weigh the old and the new just fer grins and giggles.

I don't blame you for paying attention! It's amazing that Brian could even see your rotors after his ordeal.

That's BDF's power of suggestion. He made Cap'n Bob think that all of his problems were due to KiPass, rather than standard, everyday, user error. ;)

Yep, but Cap'n Fob moved down, not up ;D Ya know what FJR stands for, right? For Junior Riders ;) KiPASS has a way of keeping riders honest, it senses when a rider is unable to safely negotiate a given riding situation. KiPASS isnt unfailable, but in Cap'n Fobs case, never failed to do it's unheralded job 8) After some more time in the saddle, even Bob will upgrade to the superior design of the '14 and the convenience of KiPASS :P

LOL! ;D

Good luck with the new EBC's. I hope they work out better for you than my Galfers did!!

For sure with the fitting shared between many ZX14 and ZX10R models, one of you will show us which AP or Brembo kit solves all this nonsense, right?

I would love to see a write up on how one of those conversions turns out.

I have EBC rotors and pads on my '10.
They were cheaper than stock.
Look better with the gold carriers.
Don't feel any different than stock.
I am happy.
