Title: ZZR Shock
Post by: Dan in Grand Rapids on June 11, 2015, 08:16:45 PM
Hello Everyone,

I did some searching, but could not find this information. I added a ZZR shock a couple of years ago, but I did not do any adjustments to the settings. Does anyone have any idea what settings work well with the concours? What is a good starting point? I am not very familiar with setting up motorcycle suspension. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

From a ZZR12 shock manual, preload 12th click from full soft (just past '2'), rebound damping 2nd position, all for a 68 Kg/150 lb rider.

I weigh about 84 Kg, but I use these settings, a bit more when the bike is heavily loaded.

I weigh 230lbs and my ZZR (brand new never used before) shock has to be set to full preload (which has nothing to do with soft) and  my sag is still too much in the rear .
