My better half complained about sliding around after our first two-up jaunt. The bike came with a Corbin 2-piece installed and all of the stock parts including the seat and bazooka. So while I am used to having to finagle seats, I cannot get the stock bugger to lock in. The main culprits appear to be the two center hook latches. Does anyone have any guidance or pics? Is there a difference in mounting hardware between the Corbin and stocker?

This may sound like a dumb question. But maybe not (you never know!) Did you remove the lock-in bar for the Corbin from the C14? It is this little bar that you install on the C14 (mid way under the seat) for the Corbin rear seat front tabs to slide under and lock in. As well as the front seat to latch down onto. That would prevent the {POS} OEM seat from working on the bike!
Here's a photo. The bar right behind the rear seat (scratched) is the bar. Notice the front seat is latched onto it. Yes it's hard to see most of it, because it's kind of under the front seat.

I can't help with the mounting, I'll bet Bob nailed it though, but I do have a question about your wife's sliding around. I'm looking for a better 2 up seat and the Corbin was on my short list. Was your wife sliding forward too much?

Wait, I have a Corbin on my 2009 and the front seat doesn't lock into position at all. Is it supposed to? If I have the rear seat off, the front seat can slide backwards and off, I figured it was supposed to be like that. I wasn't sure what that locking mechanism was for but was figuring a backrest for the rider.

Maybe your mounting bar is mounted upside down, with the locking stud facing down instead of up?

All seats must lock into position..it is a safety issue....so you don't slide off the bike...off brand seats are always harder to get locked into position..my Sargent is a pain in the butt....the Kawasaki seat falls into place!

You guys nailed it. That locking bar was the offending part. I went messing around and stumbled on it myself. The rusty chrome hex bolts gave it away (Corbin hardware used to be better). Thanx.

My wife was sliding fore and aft but the trunk helped with that direction. We are going to investigate sheepskin covers since the oem seat is really awful. There are two types of Corbins, mine are non-heated. In my opinion, the electric Corbins are tanned and finished differently so they would not be as slippery.

Not mine -my stock seat is a pain in the butt to get back on! But the Sargent (with pod) is much more difficult.
Now, the ZRX, that was as easy as pie. Place it on, push it lightly, "click", done.

Mine locks in place, well, the rear seat does, but it holds the front seat in place because of the design. I will be looking into things though to see if something can be changed so the front seat locks in as well.

I have a Corbin seat and a smuggler and the both attach to the Corbin cross bar. The seat has a spring latch that must be released to remove it from the bar while the front of the smuggler hooks in. Is your seat maybe missing some hardware?

My OEM seat is a pain to get back on.

I took a look a few minutes ago and there is nothing for the front seat latch to catch on. I didn't know there was supposed to be anything. I will contact the guy I got it from and see if he has any idea (I got it from a forum member here).
