For me anyway.. Figured out how to play music from my phone using the Sena unit via Bluetooth. I love it! However I don't think it handles bass (as we all know it's all about that bass) very well. Acts like it's overdriving the speakers. Sounds like I need to upgrade them if it's even possible. The interesting part...I wear foam ear plugs and with the Sena cranked up all the way it sounds very good. I forgot to put in the earplugs one time and the Sena sounded like crap (very tinny). Ear plugs back in, and the unit cranked up...sounds good. What's up with that?

You mean you had it all this time and never played music through it using bluetooth? :yikes: Glad you figured it out. Great feature.
This is what I bought it for in the first place. I was single then, so I listened to music or on long rides I listened to audiobooks.
I agree about the ear plugs, it sounds better with them. Audio books can be a bit low volume with ear plugs, so I use software to up the gain on them if I am going to listen to them on the bike.

I'm easing into this smart phone stuff. Think of my as an Ent and you'll know how slow I am to adopt new technology. I mean, look at my avatar.

I modded my smh10 clamp to take earbuds as well as the internal speakers as I found the wind noise was drowning out the music quality on the motorway erm I mean freeway! I used the internal speakers in town but would switch to using earbuds on long trips at higher speeds. Its a good little mod and easy enough to do. The new 20S has this option built in.

You should post a how-to! I wondered why they didn't include that as a standard feature.

I did mine slightly differently to the link below, but it gives you an idea. I added an extra 3.5mm jack inside the bottom of the body of the standard clamp unit.

Or do it the easy way!

Another good one VirginiaJim :hail:
I have been trying to figure out the best solution for riding and listening to music. I've used products like Earfuze, noise-isolating ear buds and have tried to make my own version of "moldable" ear buds but none work to my liking. I have ridden with foam ear plugs while using the helmet speakers from my SMH10 but the sound wasn't very good (so now I have the SMH10 clamp that allows ear buds to be connected). I am going to grab some JVC Flats today and give the speaker upgrade a shot! It would be awesome to be in a position to where all I have to do is insert foam ear plugs, put the helmet on and start riding! Thanks again "Jim" for posting that information!

That's all I do... different comm system (Interphone F4), but same concept. Also, I use some PVC(?) earplugs I got from Guitar Center. $5, last a couple seasons, and are washable (warm water) https://www.google.com/shopping/product/11237971965605296813?q=hearos&es_sm=122&biw=1680&bih=935&bav=on.2,or.r_cp.&bvm=bv.90790515,d.cGU&tch=1&ech=1&psi=HiksVb22JJevoQTf24HoAg.1428957471110.3&prds=paur:ClkAsKraX-RQkYcBTpIu_XTjo6WbW_Wqzt-nITIVnUdIWUg_j76R72YLIiT-UnH9QlAxj7bggSMPxkToXaCk3x6b-ZQeKyawjz94JQOFiSTJMPCC3xlx5ZyVeRIZAFPVH70y19dhLJwYRuUp30OMtiwlMwCa0w&ei=ISksVZO8MYLcoATB_ICQAQ&ved=0CPABEKYrMAU (https://www.google.com/shopping/product/11237971965605296813?q=hearos&es_sm=122&biw=1680&bih=935&bav=on.2,or.r_cp.&bvm=bv.90790515,d.cGU&tch=1&ech=1&psi=HiksVb22JJevoQTf24HoAg.1428957471110.3&prds=paur:ClkAsKraX-RQkYcBTpIu_XTjo6WbW_Wqzt-nITIVnUdIWUg_j76R72YLIiT-UnH9QlAxj7bggSMPxkToXaCk3x6b-ZQeKyawjz94JQOFiSTJMPCC3xlx5ZyVeRIZAFPVH70y19dhLJwYRuUp30OMtiwlMwCa0w&ei=ISksVZO8MYLcoATB_ICQAQ&ved=0CPABEKYrMAU). I have to max volume when I'm on the freeway, and bass response is rubbish, as others have said... but I've been happy enough with it for the last 5 years or so.
There are a lot of good options for comm systems now. When I bought mine, the Sena and Interphone were the top-rated units... and now Sena has like 10 products instead of just the 1. I keep kinda hoping my system will crap out so I can get a newer version.
