So, you throwing in the gift cert to whoever takes it off your hands?

haha no sir, but the guy that sold one on here for $150 proved to me its at least worth a courtesy lunch for my efforts to hand it off ;D

As P.T. Barnum said "a sucker is born every minute!"

I don't think so. For someone who likes a quieter ride and doesn't care about the weight of it, I think it ought to be worth a steak dinner at least.

My modified muffler is pictured in the link below. I fitted a HOTDOG MUFFLER RESONATOR 2.5" IN, 2.5" OUT X 12" LONG after discarding all the internals. It is awesome.

Doesn't look bad cut in half.
Pic borrowed from link above. ( hope that's alright) ???
-
come and get it, its for sale for the cost of a fast food lunch for Teressa and I, and I'll even buy your lunch there while we're at it ;D

Yeah, sure. Hoping others can use the idea. The pipe end is cut from the muffler so the resonator can be welded to the pipe where in enters the muffler, the shell is then welded back to the triangular front flange which will still be attached to the pipe.

I find it funny that many who complain about the weight of the muffler are 40 lbs overweight themselves. Seems like the most benefit would come from taking care of that weight first. :-)
If I were to get an aftermarket pipe, I would keep the stocker to put back on when selling the bike so I could recoup a portion of the aftermarket exhaust.
-
It's easier for me to change the muffler. Fastest weight loss I've ever done! :rotflmao:
-
Some girls get real giggly over stock exhaust. ;D
How sad to spend $500 or more on fancy cans, only to verify one's remorse by selling the bike along with said farkle soon after? :'(
-
That's why I'm keeping the 'monster' hanging in the garage. Should I ever sell the bike, the stocker is going back on it and I'll sell the Area P separately.

Confession:
I've still got hanging in my garage the stock exhaust from a Mustang I bought in 2002. Ditto my truck I bought in 2007, but at least I still have the truck. Anybody want the stock exhaust for a 2003 Cobra? Free to a good home!

After seeing someone on here pay $150 for a stock can, I was basically offering mine free plus a lunch for my trouble. If the lunch is asking too much, someone can just take it for free.
Didn't mean to introduce a mountain of drama.... well.... uhmmm.... (http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j180/stevewfl/avatars/iconstirthepot.gif)
Mine will be in the dump soon if no one needs it ;D
-
But we love the drama ;D I for one am hoping you get a nice Cic Fillet sandwich for your troubles and maybe some waffle fries and a shake. I had to pay to dump mine which was then sold for scrap because I saw him separate it out into the metal scrap heap.
-
I heard they were collecting Kawi exhausts to tie together and dump of the coast for fishing reefs.
-
Steve, is it just the muffler or does it include the mid- pipe also?

Where did the Lone Ranger take his stock exhaust?
To the dump, to the dump, to the dump dump dump!

Artificial reef program! I would dive on that reef.

Put it for auction on Ebay, starting bid at .99, with no reserve. Ask the buyer to pay shipping.
I sold my lightly used muffler for five crisp $20 bills to another forum member.
