Nice, but wonder how it will hold up over multiple tire changes. Of course, you can touch up any scratches with a Sharpie.

Powder coating is stronger and will last longer than paint...  8)

It makes the rotor and swing arm pop too.

So this morning I pulled off my side bags and went with the rear trunk only for my rip today, took a couple more pics so that I could show the before and after for ya with trunk only, I think I'll keep it like this for awhile, it really exposes the black rear wheel alot more...  8)

Also an opportunity to show the before/after of my new low profile smoked lens blinkers...  ;D

I have black chameleon rims on my zg1000. Yeah, they look great when they're clean, but after 5 minutes on the road the just lok like flat black rims. Not sure I would go gloss black again, maybe something more camoflagy like gunmetal grey. Steve

The pics I just posted with trunk only Steve was "after" my ride today... I agree that the front wheel does show more brake dust now that it's black, but I never really use the rear brake so the rear wheel is staying pretty clean. Another advantage of the 09 not having the linked brakes...  ;)

Thumbs up for all the before/after pics you took.  Kind of gives a Connie a little more attitude.  I bet they would look great on the red bike too.

Nice looking bike.

Nice ride man.
The black wheels seem to make it shorter in wheel base/ coupled closer together.
Sweet.
Thanks for the link.

Yeah, I don't like the look of the trunk-on-only at all.  In fact, rarely does a trunk look good on any bike, especially the C14, but especially with no side bags.  The side-bags-only look don't seem to detract much (if you ask me).

Looks good, I can't wait to get mine powdercoated (mine are just painted for now).  I didn't stop riding long enough this past winter to get it done, but I will make sure I find the time this winter.

I have the 2010 Blue. I would love to see the wheels in a matching blue color. It seems you got quite a good deal.

High Gloss Black goes great with the 2010 Candy Neptune Blue.  Some day I'll wash mine, and then post a picture...  :)

What colors are available for powder coating?  Because I think I need the 'filthy, been ridden thousands of miles, not cleaned in a while' color!  I clean mine, and then it rains, so it's dirty again.  The other day, I took it to the car washt, was drying it off when it started raining on my.  I rode home in the RAIN!  I don't clean it like I should!

I do like the black, it looks so S E X X X Y when it is clean!

I believe the color you are looking for is gun metalbrake dust grey.

That would be the color the factory US wheels are now.

The factory UK wheels were that S E X X X Y Gloss Black.

Thanks ZG! They do look awesome. I was surprised how reasonable the cost is too. I thought it would be more to powder coat the rims. Definitely on the list of must do.  8)
