Not happy with the corporate actions of Mozilla. Looking for a replacement. Pros/cons of alternatives?
-
Latest version of IE is pretty good. I use it interchangeably with Firefox. My only gripe with firefox is that sometimes when you close the browser down, the process is still running. Sometimes even ending process from task manager does not kill it - have to restart the comp. The latest IE has been pretty stable for me (running win 8.1). No experience with Chrome.
I am guessing you are upset about Mozzila CEO being out of job?

yep

Off with their heads!
-
I've had good luck with Chome on my Mac.
-
I've become a Chrome fan. Use it exclusively now. I'm not happy with Firefox's choices, either, and won't be using them again.
-
Went to Chrome from Firefox a couple of years ago. Never looked back.
-
+1 on Chrome.
-
Chrome it is then, thanks.
-
Alternative to Firefox? ? ?
Anything but....
-
I tried Chrome and hated it. Guess I'll stay with FF. Can't stand IE either.

What was wrong with Chrome?
-
Just didn't like the way it acted. Can't remember exactly what it was but I tried it for about a week and went back to FF.

I did the same thing the first time I tried Chrome. Eventually gave it another shot and never looked back.

Firefox uninstall...Chrome installed. All bookmarks, passwords, etc. migrated flawlessly. Butt dyno says it might be a bit faster.
-
chrome and go buy a chromecast.
-
chromecast?

If you don't like FF due to corp decisions you darn sure shouldn't like Chrome (google).

Running out of options. Might just quit this internet thing. ::)

Pistole, If you're speaking of me here then you are coming out of left field with this, you also have misconstrued my issues with Mozilla corporate. Not cool.

Why no IE love? I am using version 11 and it really is good. Give it a shot if you have not lately - you may be surprised.
As far as Firefox's position goes, it is hypocritical. No one would have said a peep if he would have donated to the pro gay group.

This is on an old xp machine. I never upgraded IE. Still on ver 8 I think. :)

Guys, please remember that this thread is in the Open board. Comments like I just removed won't be tolerated here.
-
But if I don't know what you removed how can I learn what not to say? :)

If you can say it in front of your mother it'll be alright here. ;)

Listen to Gary...

chromecast?
probably the easiest way to broadcast what you see in your browser to your tv.
great for sharing the web with others. The best $35 I spent last year.
Used it for planning a vacation. (maps, hotel websites) and sharing photos afterwards.
Also use it with android phone and share pics from there.

Can you plug the Chromecast into your A/V receiver instead of the TV?
