Title: Yamaha Majesty 400
Post by: Jim M. on November 19, 2013, 01:13:43 PM
I normally commute to work on the C-14 every day it's not raining or icy. I recently sent in my seat to Baldwin for the GT Saddle, so I made the commute on the wife's Yamaha Majesty. I'd forgotten just how stupid fun this little bike is! No clutch, no shifting. Just twist the throttle and it just pulls and pulls and pulls. The pull is so much fun that I keep telling the wife I'm going to get a ticket on this thing before I get one on the C-14! Before I know it, I look down and I'm doing 60 in a 45 zone! It surprises a lot of people when they see a scooter and then it blows their doors off light to light! Shoot, with around 65mpg, maybe I'll have to commute on it a little more often. Anyone else have one of the maxi scooters?

every now and then I get a Vespa or a C600 Sport (BMW), and I just drive like a mad man. The ticket is the last of my worries  :o
Like you said, no clutch, no shifting, just twisting. It's addictive even if there's not so much power.

Occasionally ride my wife's little 250 Helix. Even though it will top out at 70 or so, it is fun to see the looks on people's faces when you pass them on a 'moped' with ATGATT after they have gone by you at a corner where you've waited for them. Sometimes I wait just for the opportunity to do it.
