Title: C14 bungee nets for side case lids
Post by: ZG on October 29, 2013, 06:35:26 PM
C hooked me up with the link to this bungee net, it fits perfect for the C14 side case lids, I always run a bag liner in my left side case for my laptop, shoes, and lunch when commuting to work. The right side case I keep some small stuff like road side assist and hat etc, with this cargo net it keeps all that small misc stuff tucked nicely on the lid side and provides a nice open space for beer etc that I pick up from the store on the way home.

Thanks brother!!

Handy for all them cleaning supplies you carry ;)

FWIW, politics have no room out in the open, we have the Arena for presidential conversations ;D

You never noticed the lil tie down points inside the bags?

Jay, how about modifying the subject line with something a little more pertinent about the thread so that others can get in on this action?  Seems like a good product and now I have to get it as well..  Can't have everyone having this farkle and me not.  Just won't do.  Not prudent.  Thanks.

Should have looked closer at the pics. Looked like the silver hooks going behind the lip. Now I see they are hooked to the tie down points. I've never used mine.

Regardless, I'd vote for you Conrad!

No.  I was thinking more along the lines of the name of the product.  :battle:

One of the complaints on the website is that they'll only hold large, lightweight stuff and that things don't stay secured during the ride. They do seem to have quite a bit of open area to the front and rear. Care to comment on your experience with them?

Thanks for the link. I have ordered them. I'm more concerned with having things secured a little better for closing the lid, I don't care really if they come undone while riding. I have used other small bungees in the past but these seem more workable.

At $6 these things are great. It's true that there is a lot of open space to the front and the rear. They are best used for bulky items since they can't hold anything small by themselves.

If I had to complain about these nets I would have to say that the only thing that I don't like is that the ends of the small hooks are very sharp and it's easy to snag something on them. I took a small file to them and they are fine now.

You can find small caps for the ends as well. Glue them on. They should still fit through the provided attachment points.

This net makes for a great place to put additional fuel canisters, I now can carry an extra .8 gallons of fuel to give me an extra 25 miles or so for some remote places when you really need to find a gas station and can't. Thanks again C!    :chugbeer:

Rumor also has it he will be bungeeing his old, slow black plastics to his bike so he can take them down for a raffle being held by AARP ;)
