Title: black solid deposit - clutch reservoir
Post by: speed545 on October 07, 2013, 05:10:40 PM
Hi

I m changing fluid every two years (12000M). I noticed black depot in the clutch reservoir. Look like brake dust. That was in may.

In august, I notice it was coming back. So I changed the fluid again and drained the entire reservoir. Cleaned it, bleed the system completely.

Now in October, fluid looking a little black again compare to the brake one

Any input on what s the cause.  Ill try to get a pic

Thx

I always find the clutch fluid dirtier than the break fluid. I have also found black soot in the clutch fluid of various bikes. Could be due to usage.

Same thing happened on my first C14, the color changed progressively more often and at 80k plus, it was every 3k mi.
