I will be celebrating our independance on my motorcycle, meeting with a group of fellow ADV riders and heading to the mountains. I want to escape the masses to reflect in relative solitude.
May tomorow end in peace,
Chet

Sounds patriotic to me ;D

Switching over from Verizon to Comcast for cable, phone and internet, then going to work on my bike.

Try to take a couple of minutes from work to reflect on those tragic events that happened then... :grouphug:

Bacon sandwich for breakfast. Check the dead muslim bodycount scorecard. Thank God my son is safe in the states right now and pray for those in harms way.

Work for me too, 71 days left. ;D
I reflect on what was lost everyday as I walk into my office. I have a 'We Will never forget 9/11/2001' poster on the outside of my office door.

Up early, heavy heart.

I work for Prince William County Government. We are having a dedication of our new memorial a 7pm tonight. It will be a pretty somber morning i'm sure until the media start showing up in the afternoon. There is already one media van outside with a 50' antenna tower sticking out of it. If you're in the area, stop by. My desk is behind the thrid brick column of the building behind the memorial. I'm about 100' from it. We've watched them clean and preserve the beams on the plaza between our two buildings, and just last week install them. The sod is temporary, it will have a brick patio around it with landscaping.

I was on duty that fateful day 12 years ago. I paused, reflected, remembered and vowed to not forget my fellow police and fire brothers and sisters that died trying to help others.
