Well, after 14 years, don't you think it's time for a new lid??  :o
Now if you go with a four in one exhaust, that nicking problem might go away!

Over the years many people have asked, "How much stuff hits your helmet?"  Took nearly 14 years, but I finally figured out what's been going on.   >:(

??? All the dings in my lids are in the "forehead" area - pot hole/road construction debris flung up ahead of me seems to be magnetically attracted to my skull.   :cannon:

My helmets always have black marks on the back of them from hanging them from my front brake lever

Man, I can't begin to imagine what a 14 year old helmet would smell like - probably not unlike - well, never mind.  Thank goodness for removable, washable liners, eh?  The one in the picture (EXO700) is coming up on 4 years old.  I was considering replacing it before this riding season.  As soon as I figure out a way to secure a helmet to the bike without nicking it (or the bike plastic) I'll get a new one.

Just some funn'in... Shame our database is history, or you could have just searched for the 'Helmet lock re-locate', moves the lock to the tailrack, iffin' you have one..
But I'm sure if you posed a new thread askin' about it, you'd get answers and pics of installations by others..

Knightmare, Take it from someone who pavement surfed long enough to wear a hole in the back of a helmet only to roll over long enough to grind a shield mount off the front,  the fold up chopper jockey headgear falls a little short in the protection department.  What ever inconvenience is incured with a hardshell helmet is quickly forgotten when the EMT's pick you up and your brains are still inside your skull.
