Title: My Evil Cheating Ways
Post by: Flienlow on August 16, 2013, 08:03:49 AM
I rode the Connie down to MotoGP Laguna this year and saw the Aprilia booth.

They started one up.......It talked to me.
I am not quite sure what all I will lose, or when exactly my divorce will be final, but until then....

The absolute most entertaining bike I have ever owned. Funny, I got on the connie for the first time in a while. It felt like a big, lethargic, and gushy couch going down the road. I still love it for slabbing though.

Happy Friday!

Absolutely! There are other 'fun' bikes out there that are fast and light and powerful. I don't think we should forget they are designed for a different purpose. Like the guy that bought my 2009 C14 about a FJR, "It was light, powerful and fun, but I would say it was more sport than touring, fun for riding around town but not touring down the highway. That is where the C14 excels, both sport and touring."

Enjoy your bike, thanks for the comparison, I am not surprised.

I have a buddy that owns a multi brand dealership (unfortuenately not Aprilia) He has rode everything, and was flat amazed by this bike. It's not as fast as a liter race bike. But just as quick.

This wont do it justice, but here is how it sounds low that I disconnected the exhaust flapper valve.

That's the first bike I am gonna run out and buy when I hit the lottery. I spose I should start actually playing the lottery now.

All the bike rags fear that bike, their take is, "Please take this away, there is no chance in hell of retaining our licenses while riding this motorcycle!".  I have heard rumors of 3rd gear no clutch wheelies.  I think I just wet myself a bit.
