Well I finally bit the bullet and purchased a 2009 Connie from a gentleman on this forum. It was a fantastic experience overall and I know I got a well cared for machine. I've raced moto-cross growing up in Ireland, ridden a lot of dirt bikes, cruisers, and race both road and mountain bikes today. This is my first sport touring bike and I'm in love with it. I test rode a few others leading up to the Connie.....Honda ST1300, Yamaha FJR & a BMW K1200GT. All had their pros and cons, but none were the complete package that the Connie was. I'm looking forward to taking her on a few long distance travels to places I've yet to see. In the meantime I'll lurk around here learning from all you guys.
Attached is a pic of my 2 passions.....and believe it or not, the Connie is not the most expensive bike in that picture.
Cheers,
IrishAl

If it has two wheels it's cool. . .welcome!

Welcome aboard. Your other bike probably weighs less than either wheel on the C-14.

Welcome to the group Irish Al. Glad you are enjoying your new bike, it is really a fantastic one, one you can enjoy in all kind of environments! Maybe we will see you around sometime. If you are ever riding by Noble, OK, let me know, I will ride with you for awhile. You know, seems like we have met?
