I can think of a couple reasons why I "NEED" this but not a single "safety" excuse. I would do the economy line of reasoning but SWMBO would counter with "just leave the econo MAP installed"....
I think Jay needs to get one to stay on the leading edge, coupled with the quick shifter, and soon to be installed ZX14 TBs and Auto Tune ;D
So, tell me why YOU wouldn't install this if $$ is not a concern.

Yeah go for it!
After all Silverdammit it is because of you that I have just removed my throttle bodies in anticipation of the arrival of the ZX14 bodies from over there! ::) (man I hope its worth it)
I hooked up the Lcd-200 a couple of months ago just prior to a track day and found the data logging a great feature. I have it attached using the supplied velcro on the flat panel below r/h handlebar.
Cheers from downunder.

Errrrrrrrrrrrr.....
I'm addicted.
Hi everyone, my name is Chet and I'm a Farkleolic. It all started when I bought this C14, someone mentioned something about this little thingy designed solely with the purpose of separating me from my money. It's been all downhill from there :'( ;D ;D ;D

I believe the use of the Power Commander will enable you to tune the fuel air mixture more precisely, enabling better throttle control and response. This added control will leave you better equipped to avoid an accident. You will have better throttle control on surfaces with poor traction. This enhances your safety. :finger_fing11:

Even better. You get to add fuel injection so you can add a power commander so you can add the LCD unit. :finger_fing11:

And then I can add the expense of a divorce.

You got that right.... I didn't have this issue with my C10.

makes your bike more efficient. think green and save the environment
-
But mom, everybody is doing it.
-
Same reason why you bought a 160 HP, 700 pounds bike... because it's a hell of a fun.

I wouldn't put it on because it's a stupid distraction.
After I get my map fine tuned for cruise MPG, I'm gonna have the ECU reflashed with the overlay and take ALL that Powercommander crap off of it. Rube Goldberg!

I wouldn't go that far, but for a bike used just on the road it isn't necessary, provided you like the way the bike is running, or reflash the ECU as you suggest. The advantage of course with the Power Commander, is that you can make adjustments based on conditions, if you are on the track, or adjust for different pipes. It is a good product though.
