Title: 2010 Grip
Post by: att2008vn on June 05, 2011, 10:42:33 AM
Hi,

Anyone has replaced the stock grip on 2010 ??  The '10 comes with Heated Grip so i wonder if it should be a different than "normal" grip.

Thanks

2010 heated grip looks like a stock grip, heating element is molded in to grip material.  Grip is flexible enough and can be removed using compressed air and a little effort depending on how much grip glue the factory used on installation.  I was able to remove mine and reinstall them on my LSL bars.

You can change them to anything you want. But you loose the heated grip feature. Right now a slip over grip like a Grip Puppy or similar is all you can use if you want the keep your heated grips. Or use an aftermarket heated grip.

Uhhh . . . no. The heated portion is separate, a rubber inner layer with the heating wires. The outer grip is just a grip and can be replaced.
