Title: Love the Day-long...
Post by: Mal on June 05, 2011, 07:29:01 AM
I put 578 miles on my frankenstein hybrid Russel/Sargent seat yesterday travelling from my home to Lead, SD. I love this seat! No hot spots, very little fidgeting, no discomfort what-so-ever! Yeah, it's ugly, but I've decided function over form any day...  ;)

To anyone wanting all day comfort, I highly recommend this seat...

Amazing how an ugly seat like this can make your ride so much more comfortable.  8)  Well worth the $$$ for those long rides.

It must be hard to put you legs down at a stop.  I like the cover for the rear seat.

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder, cause I think it looks great.

Nah, just slide up to the tank... it was weird at first, but now I don't even think about it. That's not a cover, it's Sargents storage pod...

It looks really comfortable and its hard to comment on the looks without seeing it in person.

I have never had anyone comment on my seat as I was passing them on the highway.   Just keep your ass planted in the seat on those long trips and there shouldn't be any issue with the cosmetics of the seat.

As long as I had my druthers about why people laughed at me, I'd rather they laughed at my motorcycle seat than at me for walking like a chapped duck from sitting on the stock seat for 500+ miles.

When sitting and riding on the saddle, it is difficult to have some opinion on how the saddle looks.  I'd rather have my arse comfy than have a nice looking saddle sitting in the parking lot of Mickey Dees while I air my butt.

+1

Rode another 570 miles Saturday, rode 1564 miles total. Absolutely no complaints, I am totally pleased with this seat...

Lack of response surprises me.  I emailed them recently and got a response the following day.

Day-long?  My DR told me anything in excess of 4 hours I should contact medical authorities (seems some nurses are in need) :-X

I stopped by their shop last year and there was nobody in the office. I waited around for a while and in they walked from getting coffee down the street! They are pretty laid back. The shop is a converted house.

This is the S-2 model correct? Also, did it add more height as well? I'm thinking of going this route myself as my Corbin sucks ASS!!!! (no pun intended)  ;D

Mine is on order. Go ahead... say it... I don't care.

They gave me a production date of July 21st, and could take 2 weeks from there plus shipping. I'll forget I ordered it by then.
