If anyone wants to replace there damaged, scratched, etc stock muffler, I have one in great condition for $90.00 shipped. Call kevin 570-344-7148 or email me. SOLD---------------------

It would probably scrap for that much! ;D
That's a great deal for someone. 8)

Will probably cost more than that to ship it across town. ;)
-
Dou you still have this and do you think it will fit my 2011?
-
It might, but why? The muffler was changed on the 10+ bikes so it might be a bit iffy for an 08/09 muffler to work on one of those bikes.

potato patato... ;)

The 2008 muffler will fit, they just changed the beauty caps and put on a heat shield. How do I know this, my buddy with a 2008 put a 2011 muffler on his. The 2008 one was damaged in a fall.

At least we know the fitment works. Thanks.

My thought was to gut it and try it since you looking at $400 for a slip on and at this
point I cant even tell if its running its so quiet.
How do you think it would sound / run?

Some folks are liking this lower cost option.

The mufflers are the same, only the end caps were changed. And in one of the greatest feats of showmanship of all time, they actually made each end BIGGER so the muffler APPEARS smaller and it worked- fewer people complain about the newer 'smaller' muffler.
Somewhere in Japan there are probably still a few folks chuckling about this one.... :loco:

I had a 2008 hayabusa and drilled out the cats in the head pipe, and drilled holes down through the muffler, six of them, the bike sounded great.
