Title: Fairing seal brackets
Post by: jdhreiss on May 14, 2013, 03:20:55 PM
HELP!   Trying to figure out where the right side fairing seal mounts is making me crazy (should have taken photos)  And I have the shop manual which shows screws where there are rivets.  Anyone have a photo of the foam rubber/plastic bracket which also has the rubber piece that goes to the radiator hose? I have it all back together except for the bracket and the right upper fairing.

You should put the model year of your bike in your avatar or signature, it will greatly assist people trying to help.

I learned a while ago about taking quick photos with my phone before disassembling something :)  The factory manual is fairly good, but sometimes is a bit hard to interpret.   Unfortunately, I am not sure what you are describing... hopefully someone else will know.  If not, you might need to post a photo of what you describing.

Sorry about bike info.  Its a 2008, ZG1400A8F, The part is shown on page 587, the 4th photo down from the top of the page of the 2008 shop manual.  The part is listed as Pad, Heat Guard, Right Hand, on the microfiche and it's part numbers are in the #39156 series (39156-f, 39156-g, etc)

Page 587?  My book isn't numbered like that.  It has pages like 10-11.

Indeed, but the unauthorized PDF "copy" of it that is floating around is numbered like that.  Which means he probably did not legally obtain the "service manual".  But I am not the copyright police, so let's pretend I didn't post!
