Title: BMW RR 1000 S vs. C-14 with blower
Post by: Fretka on June 03, 2011, 02:30:48 PM
Just added a BMW 1000 to the stable and thought ya'll would like to hear that the big C-14 mothership will absolutely annihilate the Beemer when accelerating!

Not even close!

Add a turbo and fear no man nor beast! 8)

You are just insane...  I love it!!  I live through your stories... dreaming about the possibilities knowing I will probally never do it myself.

Thanks for the update on the C14 killing machine.   :)

I have to say that more than surprises me.  The RR is about 20 mph faster in the 1/4 mile.  It takes a lot of hp to make up that kind of difference.  Makes me really want a turbo on my Concours.  Thanks for the info.

Nice!

Do you have info on your turbo build?

Might be worth pulling the S/C off my S2000 to fund a C14 turbo project!  ;D

That is impressive. I assume the BMW will come out of the hole faster though, physics and all. There is a U-tube video of an RR 1000 doing a 1/4 mile in something like 8.5 seconds if I remember correctly. Between the fast shifting and the traction control I guess it takes all the skill out of drag racing....  :D
