Title: Drunk cop sues for being fired
Post by: Nosmo on April 26, 2013, 10:21:41 PM
So, alcoholism is now a DISABILITY??  This guy is suing because he was fired for being drunk on duty, and he wants to be compensated?  What a great country.

Has been for quite awhile now. Next big thing is being bullied. Everyone is a victim. Everyone has a disability. Everyone wants compensation from the Gov't. Theoretically, given enough time, we will all be disabled and will all be collecting money from the Gov't. What will we be called then? Oh. Never mind.

How come all the time we complain about frivolous lawsuits, but whenever reform comes up, its almost always voted down or tabled? Is it judges legislating from the bench, politicians, voters, lobbyists, money, lawyers? Not a day goes by without some story such as this, I know its to garner ratings and fill in what ussed to be 1/2 hour local AND national newscasts with drivel to make them hour long infotainments shows and to sell rags like People magazine. But like taxes, in between elections, we all complain, and come time for reform or no new taxes, its voted down or for. Who is voting for more taxes or not voting for reform, nobody I know or talk to.
