RIP George, aka the Possum and No Show Jones.

This is one of my favorite George Jones songs, and is my Ex's theme song from many years gone by.  ;D

George was awesome!!!!  I grew up listening to him.  Dad was a big fan.  He came to town a few years back and my brother and I bought my mom and dad tickets.  My brother and I should have gone too.

It took Jones a full year to record, "He Stopped Loving Her Today" because he couldn't say the four spoken word verses without slurring the words because he was drunk.
It was worth the wait.

He was arrested awhile back driving drunk on a riding lawn mower because his drivers liscense was suspended.
