I think that on ye-olde forum, SISF had some comments on this idea, can't remember the details but the gist of it was don't bother.

Probably having to do with needing the powerband to be down lower, not higher... that makes sense.

Better off getting SiSF's ex cam sprocket http://sites.google.com/site/shoodabenengineering/intake-and-exhaust, (http://sites.google.com/site/shoodabenengineering/intake-and-exhaust,) bottom item on the page.

Tried & tested by many, many members - it works, simples  ;)

Yes I'd second that, the SISF exhaust cam sprocket is excellent.

I rolled my own so it cost me nothing, am I cheap or what....  ;D

Yep, I'll 3rd the exhaust cam sprocket.  Also, if you can spring it, send him the entire rack of carbs.  Overflow tubes, power jet pack, and the exhaust cam sprocket work really really really well together.

If I  remember correctly our Connie already advances the timing too soon now and this Factory Pro Advancer  makes it even worse than stock, n so it is  not a good thing to use.

I can't say anything bad about the one that I've got installed; had it long before Steve came out with the Cam Sprocket or the 7th gear unit both of which I've got. I'd have to pull the FPIA out to see what difference I can notice going back to stock on the spark maker; but I'm too lazy to be bothered with that. BTW I run low octane gas and do not detect a hint of ping either.
