Title: kipass
Post by: BigWes22 on April 15, 2013, 05:31:20 PM
I turned my bike off and left the key in the off position instead of locked. When i returned later the bike didnt recognize the fob so i thought the battery in the fob was dead. I replaced the battery but same result. I wanted to use the key in the fob to start the bike but the other key doesnt come out in the off position. Is there a way around this ?

Give the knob a few sharps taps down.  Then the usual pres, release, turn and ride off into the sunset thanking KIPASS for saving you from that accident you were headed into if you had left at the planned upon time :)

FWIW, do the infamous search, type in KIPASS (make sure you are in the forum home page) and you have hours of reading and I'm sure a chuckle or two.  Once you have mastered KIPASS do a search on oil and tires (avoid car tires at all cost).  Type up a brief summary of what you learned and I'm sure Jim will make it a sticky :o

Late? Due to KiPass? That's unpossible! KiPass will warp space- time as needed to get the faithful wherever (and whenever) they need to be.

Yeah but I didn't want to mention that- even nepotism has its limits,  and one of them should always be good taste. (says the dead squirrel)

I never put mine to the locked position.  I always leave it in the off position and never EVER remove it (bad luck you know).  If you are pressing the key down and it's not recognizing the fob then the plunger underneath is jammed or stuck or whatever it does when it doesn't work.  Try tapping it with a hammer on the switch housing around the 9 o'clock position or just beat the  :censored: out of it and cry to the Gods "Why me!".  I carry a hammer (Maxwell's silver) for just said purpose (seriously) also have BDF's KIPASS BYPASS MOD http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=6976.0 (http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=6976.0) .

What year bike?

And now for your musical enjoyment...

The Beatles - Maxwell's Silver Hammer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQgsob_o1io#)

And yes, I'm totally crazy!  :yikes:
