There was a time when I would back road it before I would slab it any where. It is a beautiful weekend here in PNW to ride and/or brew beer. Yesterday, I needed to run to Mainbrew to get some beer supplies. I have a choice to either back road it or jump on the highway to get to Mainbrew, not very far either way. I decided to get on the highway so I could throw my feet up on the highway pegs and bask in the sun.
Is this what I have to look forward to as I get older? ;D
Shout out to Kevin and the gang.

Hit a good 50 miles of twisties today, don't think I have much to worry about just yet. Boy does this bike make me grin. ;D

I generally avoid the slab but still use my highway pegs a lot. Makes long 500+ mile days so much better. Just being able to change leg position for time to time makes all the difference.

Black bike, highway pegs, what's next, a do rag and skull cap? ;)

I went from DE to Charleston SC last Tuesday to visit family, 669 miles on the interstates, and came home yesterday taking half state highways and a little bit of interstate, 614 miles that way. The highway pegs and throttle lock helped a lot. The ability to stretch your legs without stopping the bike is nice to have, and taking a couple minutes every so often to let your right hand relax really helps. My only stops were for gas, I'd eat some snacks while texting my wife to let her know where I was, then back on the road. 10 hours down, averaged 72mph, and 12 hours back. I also got 51mpg on a 190 mile stretch of I95 running 80-85mph. The bike was purring like a kitten the whole time!

I dunno. I am one of the few that don't like highway pegs. It's neat to be able to change leg positions, but I find it very unnatural to go down the highway at higher speeds, leading with my feet.

I have some Rivco mounts, but some regular pegs I got at the local dealer.

Thanks, found them but no prices. Any idea what they cost or who to order them from?
